Informed Consent / ICATH Provider Yes
I want to help support you in being who you are in the world even when the world around you tells you there is something wrong with you. Even when you think, "I'm not good enough," I want to help you learn to accept yourself, without judgment. Sometimes it is really hard to persist. Making change or accepting what is can be confusing. Reaching out to a therapist can be scary. I work with folks dealing with anxiety, depression, or past trauma who are trying to navigate a world that doesn't always feel safe or accepting.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for improving mindfulness, interpersonal communication skills, help dealing with intense emotions, and decreasing self-harm and suicidal behaviors
Panic and panic attacks, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, and anxiety

EMDR for recovery from surgeries or medical traumas
Informed consent for trans, genderqueer, and gender nonconforming people seeking letters for medical interventions (you can read more about informed consent and get sample informed consent letters here)
Lesbian, bisexual, queer, gay, non-monogamous, poly, kink affirming therapy
Transgender and gender affirming therapy
Anti-oppression approach that acknowledges "big T" traumas and "little T" traumas that come from oppression history
For over ten years I've worked in various non-profit and clinical settings with adolescents, adults, and older adults and with gender nonconforming kids and families. Some of my areas of experience include HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, non-monogamous and polyamorous individuals, and queer and trans adolescents and adults. As a social worker I'm passionate about joining with clients to find creative ways to connect people to resources they might not have thought of or known about to help them strengthen their identities and work toward their goals.
