I feel a lively, genuine therapeutic relationship can facilitate the process of healing and self-discovery. Most of my practice is composed of individuals who identify as living on the 'fringe' (outside of the gender binary and heteronormativity). I understand that you may not be seeking therapy because of your sexual orientation or gender identity, so one advantage to seeing a specialist is that I will not make it an issue if it is not a problem for you. I have years of experience working in queer communities and travel both nationally and internationally to receive and administer training.
I consider myself a gender affirmative therapist meaning that I do not see gender variations as disorders and approach all of my clients with clinical and cultural humility.
My practice is made up mainly of creative professionals: artists, musicians, composers, professors, writers, social workers, designers, therapists, etc. I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families, as well as with gender expansive children and adolescents who identify as LGBTQIA+.
