Therapy is about stories and the creation of your own unique narrative. If you are thinking about coming out, transitioning, or just wanting to understand your own gender and/or sexuality, we will work together to help you form a narrative that will strengthen your individual identity. I believe there is no single way to be lesbian, gay, queer, trans, or otherwise identified. I work to create a positive, safe space where your identity is accepted as you create it for yourself.
By building a genuine and honest relationship, exploring patterns, building connections between mind and body, and using the healing power of laughter, we will work together to build on your strengths. We will focus on healthy communication, rebuilding coping methods, creating insight, and self-expression.
I am experienced working with members of the LGBTQIAA community and specifically those experiencing gender dysphoria. I firmly believe in approaching therapy with an open mind. I am available to conduct beginning to advanced level training on best practice with LGBTQIAA identified individuals for a variety of organizations. Additionally, I run a closed psychotherapy support group for those hoping to explore their gender identity in a safe and supportive environment. I also speak geek.
