Jill Lehmann has no staff. She does it all herself and does a great job. She is very caring and understanding and has a good sense of humor. She is highly trained in a multitude of different therapy techniques and often mixes and matches them to best serve her patients. Her office is a spacious one room as of 2015, and she does her own intake and staff support. She is highly trained on trans issues and needs. She works closely with your doctor to make sure you get the care you need, especially if you want to transition. I found her to be awesome and supportive. She really helped sort out the harder parts of HRT, where the emotional side of the hormones really hit me hard. She will discuss with you what you want from your therapy, what you hope to work on, and help you create a battle plan on how to accomplish those hopes and goals. Her intake forms are inclusive, and she does a good job of asking for your preferred name and pronouns and using them on her documentation. She is very willing to provide support to the transgender community and has in the past held group therapy sessions for local trans people. She also does couple therapy. At the moment, she has a few slots open for new patients. She also has a trained therapy dog, so if you find that helpful, she is more than willing to bring in her dog to assist in sessions.

She also does a lot of work with trauma victims, and often uses prolonged exposure. I went through this therapy technique and it really helped me. It is hard, but she is patient and works at the pace the patient needs. She uses all of her resources to help. For example, during one of our discussions about an issue I struggled with, she pulled out a book she had on hand and had me read it, which really helped me understand things better. And she will help you find resources also. When we discussed spirituality, she found some trans friendly churches. She is very well informed, well researched, and a fun and supportive person.
