I found FMC, when I was trying to find a Psychiatrist. (I have PPO insurance, so I was going to try them all if I had to, till I found the right Psychiatrist) Granted, Ms. Barrett is not a MD, she is an ARNP. But in all my years in Florida (17) she has been the most competent medical personnel I have ever found. She does not just stick you on meds, and say “You’ll be ok now!” She had me do a Sleep Study, Chromosome, processing test, and a neuro-psych eval, & CPT II. She found me an amazing PCP who is on this site. Dr. Alyssa Zwarych. Ms. Barrett wrote my HRT letter to my Endo (ALSO on this site) Ms. Lisa Gavosto – ARNP. Ms. Barrett is down to earth, with a great sense of humor. She does not treat you with “Kid gloves” and that’s what I respect about her. She has taught me how to handle my struggles. On my first visit I for the first time, with knowing someone for less than 30 minutes, I came out immediately, something about her, I just felt like she was the right medical person I had been searching for. She is one of a kind, has your back, but makes you fight for yourself too! Now, her two front office ladies Deb, and May they are a joy to talk to. Deb has a Brooklyn accent, with one hell of a sense of humor. May, is very pleasant, non-judgmental, and also a pleasure to talk with. They both know that I am “Trans,” sometimes we (when no one is around) gab, like a bunch of school girls! Ms. May advised me she is the queen of eye-liner, and Deb says she’s the queen of lip-liner. (I hope they will teach me. I’ve never dealt with the actual Dr. of the facility, but I don’t feel like I need or want to. Ms. Barrett has been a lifesaver. They also have a bunch of councilors, I already had my own, but I’m sure they are good.

FMC’s Behavioral Health, is a wonderful facility, which I would recommend to anyone, no matter the issue. They have a wellness-spa too. www.fmcmindbody.com. Ms. Barrett’s profile; http://radremedy.org/resource/2774/
