The Broadway Youth Center is a program of Howard Brown Health Center and our community partners, offering free and non-judgemental social, education, and health services to youth, ages 12-24 including a safe space for young people experiencing homelessness.

Free/low cost, accessible healthcare run by queer identified people for queer identified people ages 12-24. Sexual health/pregnancy exams at no cost, health providers working with patients to find/afford/maintain healthcare, support groups for an array of identities, and more. Very community based and accessible. Also helps provide CTA passes, find shelter/housing, and helps provide therapy.

Evening programming hours:

Fridays 5:00PM – 7:00PM: F@B, a sexuality discussion group for all youth that focuses on education, fun, and ending stigma.

Thursdays 5:00PM – 7:00PM: TYRA, safe space for Trans and Gender Non-Conforming youth to connect and share skills.

Tuesdays 5:00PM- 7:00PM: VPS. A program that engages the artistic self-expression and healing to transform harmful behavior.

Mondays 5:00PM – 7:00PM: In.Power*, an empowering support group for survivors of violence to build community and discover healing resources.

I've gone in there for STI testing and each time I have been treated with respect and sincerity. Even when I had a minor anxiety attack while being swabbed my nurse was very understanding and gave me tips on how to get through it, even managed to do it themselves which until then no doctor/nurse had been able to do.
