I use Fox Valley Family Physicians as my general practitioner/primary care provider. They don't focus on a particular group of people or communities, instead focusing on people of all backgrounds. The majority of their clientele are young families and seniors and has a very welcoming family-friendly atmosphere. As for doctors, I see Dr. Drynan for my general care and I'm currently out to her. When I first came out to her, she helped advocate for me when my family was struggling with my transgender identity. Since then she has provided amazing care and has been supportive of my gender and sexuality. The hospital staff are also respectful. I have never been misgendered, invalidated, or harassed by staff members, though the occasional personal question is ask, always out of genuine curiosity rather than malicious.
Overall, I love this clinic and plan to stay with them until I graduate college and move out of area.
