Randi Ettner is a clinical and forensic psychologist. She attended Northwestern, Indiana, Harvard, and Roosevelt Universities, and Moray College in Scotland. She is the author of two books on transgenderism, and an editor of the medical text "Principles of Transgender Medicine and Surgery". She has been an internationally syndicated columnist on women's health issues. She holds Diplomate and Fellow status in Clinical Evaluation and Trauma. Dr. Ettner is the founder and Executive Director of New Health Foundation Worldwide, a non-profit organization that does outreach and advocacy on transgender issues. She is presently the Chair of the WPATH Committee for Incarcerated Persons and provides testimony in criminal and civil cases on behalf of transgendered individuals. She is a frequent television and radio guest and has appeared on hundreds of radio and television show as an advocate for the community. She is the Chief Psychologist of the Chicago Gender Center, teaches at Prescott College in Arizona, publishes numerous professional articles, and is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Transgenderism.
