He was a great provider. Kind, knowledgeable, and willing to work with a non-binary/gender non-conforming result with regard to hormones. However, he no longer works at this location, which is for the best as the office and billing staff were horrible. When he left this location (for an unknown new office location), office staff refused to release my healthcare records to me unless I saw a provider with no experience to interpret my HRT blood results.

He's pretty solid and in general is an evidence-based practitioner(very nerdy/wonky(. He definitely did not shame me about my weight. He suggested that I get more exercise because he thinks everyone benefits from more exercise, himself included. I got the sense that he wasn't completely well-versed on nonbinary people, but he definitely wasn't unaware that we existed. He is well-acquainted with the general LGBTQ+ community, in general.

He took my Obamacare insurance when I could only get care in New Jersey. The clinic is a very utilitarian space, which I'm ok with. If you need a posh waiting room with an upscale clientele, this isn't it. This clinic serves a lot of lower-income people from the greater Jersey City area. The clinic staff are sincerely caring, which I suspect is some of the reason that they are chronically behind schedule.
