You are the narrator of a unique life story. Sharing that story can be healing if you have an empathetic and nonjudgmental listener. I’m here to listen so that you can manage life's current difficulties and enhance well-being. My aim is to create a nonjudgemental space where change is possible. I'm also committed to support you toward whatever broader vision you have for therapy, such as the integration of a coherent identity; greater capacities for intimacy, productivity, and creativity; and a stronger feeling of connection with one’s family and chosen community.

My passion is in working with issues around significant life transitions, coming out in later life, relationships, and sexuality. This includes working with individuals who identify as monogamous or polyamorous; couples in or thinking about an open relationship; and individuals of any age who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or questioning (LGBTQ). Additionally, I have experience and interest in working with individuals that are HIV positive. I am able to provide recommendation letters for hormone therapy or surgery for trans clients on that path.

For folks who like the facts, I received my masters in social work from the University of Pittsburgh. I provide therapy to individuals, couples, and groups in Austin, Texas under the supervision of Louis Laves-Webb, LCSW, LPC. I offer complimentary initial consultations and flexible weekday, evening, and Saturday appointments. The group is for transgender; gender nonconforming; or genderqueer individuals (or anyone else under the umbrella). The aim is to provide a safe space where members have the opportunity to share their experiences and concerns with one another in a confidential setting. Examples of discussion topics can include exploring "coming out" challenges and inquiries related to the process of transitioning; examining experiences of transphobia; identifying strategies for maintaining safety; and developing an identity-affirming support system. Individuals at any stage in their transition are welcome to join.

Meetings will be held in my office at 601 W 18th St; Austin; TX 78701 and will take place on Tuesday nights* from 7:15 - 8:45 pm beginning on August 18th. An initial 15-20 minute phone consultation and interview is required if you are interested in joining the group. Feel free to contact me by phone or email to make an appointment for the consultation.

The cost for each group session is $40. *We do not meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
