Dr. Lisa A. Orloff, is Professor of Otolaryngology and the Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, Chief of the Division of Head and Neck and Endocrine Surgery at UCSF, and member of the Comprehensive Cancer Center at UCSF Medical Center. Dr. Orloff specializes in the care of patients with thyroid and parathyroid diseases, head and neck cancer, and voice and other laryngeal disorders.
Dr. Orloff provides extensive office- and hospital-based evaluation and treatment of head and neck disorders that includes ultrasonography and endoscopic, minimally invasive, open and microscopic head and neck surgery. She is also an experienced microvascular and reconstructive surgeon. Dr. Orloff is board-certified in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, and she is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, as well as past-president of the San Diego Chapter of the ACS. She is actively involved in teaching in the head and neck surgery residency program and medical school at UCSF. Dr. Orloffs research background and interests include thyroid cancer, spasmodic dysphonia, and the applications of ultrasonography to diseases of the head and neck.
Dr. Orloff received her undergraduate degree at Stanford University and her medical degree at the University of California, Los Angeles. She completed her residency training in otolaryngologyhead and neck surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle. Following her residency, Dr. Orloff completed a visiting fellowship in microvascular and reconstructive surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. She was named a Fulbright scholar in 2003.
