WPATH Standards of Care Yes
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a practice in San Francisco's Castro neighborhood. As a clinical psychologist, I have worked with a people from different walks of life as they resolved crises including grief and loss, anger management, incarceration, and exploration and further development of identity related to gender, sexual orientation, and personal values. I have spent the last 20 years of my career helping to break down the barriers to healthcare encountered by populations who have been marginalized by larger communities. I have always been interested in gender identity and how we express it. My doctoral dissertation "Alternative Masculinities: Personal Experience Stories in Organization" was informed by Queer Theory and Post Structuralist Feminist critique and explored the experiences of men who chose to live their lives according to their personal values and vision despite consequences in family, work, and community.
