Reviews
Dr. Currie is a fantastic Doctor and has gone to conferences and is kept very up to date on trans issues. Very friendly to trans women, trans men, and queer people, and very, very knowledgeable about trans issues, including WPATH, and high expertise in hormones. I've had other doctors who essentially had to be educated by me on hormones. In her case, she was refreshingly more experienced than I was, and is genuinely an expert. She also is a big fan of bioidentical hormones, and using methods that are as least harmful to the body as possible while meeting patient needs. She knows that Lupron is often a better fit than spiro, and less toxic, and is unafraid to fight insurance companies, and go to bat for you to get even expensive drugs and treatments covered by insurance. I got denied coverage for lupron by my insurance and she immediately appealed. She's a very good doctor, and not only is knowledgeable but will fight for you in your court to get you the healthcare you need.
Great, great doc! And for trans men, she's very familiar and considerate of trans men's needs.
