Description

My primary training and perspective is in Collaborative and Narrative therapies. I also have training in Adventure therapy, which significantly informs my practice. I work with clients to identify problems in their lives, and together we work to minimize the impact of those problems. Important elements in a client’s life, such as family members, friends, hobbies, interests, and passions are often incorporated into therapy as anchors in maximizing both strengths and preferred ways of being.

Clinically, I work with a diverse population. I am most experienced with a ‘boys-to-men’ clientele, and I am quite passionate about the emotional and relational development of both boys and adult men. Specific to these interests, I run an ongoing Men’s Group and offer a Fathering Group. Additionally, I have in the past and hope to offer adolescent male groups. I also enjoy working with families and I have a strong belief and interest in the power of routines, traditions, and rituals in family life and development. As such, I offer a group for parents interested in incorporating family meals and rituals as a family-resiliency practice called Everyone Around the Table (EAT).
