I sought out Dr. Ohl because he keeps up with new developments in hormone therapy. I received Testopel implants for about two years from Dr. Ohl then switched to Aveed injections when they were approved by the FDA. I was Dr. Ohl's first transgender patient when I began seeing him. At our first meeting he was very professional. He treated me like any other patient, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and respected any concerns I had about particular aspects of the procedures. In the past three years I have interacted with several medical assistants, nurses, and doctors in residence in the Urology Department and have no complaints. They do have a problematic patient "sex health" survey that they give me every time, despite repeatedly refusing to fill it out or writing on it that the questions and their parameters for determining sexual health are all phallus-oriented. That's the only negative aspect. Otherwise, I highly recommend this doctor and office.
