Center for Personal Growth is a mental health group practice providing services to individuals and families. Center for Personal Growth is an inclusive practice that celebrates gender and sexual orientation diversity. We provide gender-sensitive services through our postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Danielle Tipping. She is welcoming and informed about issues specific to gender identity. Dr. Tipping can assist you through providing psychotherapy and evaluation services and any related mental health services.
Dr. Danielle Tipping is a postdoctoral fellow practicing at Center for Personal Growth under the supervision of Dr. Erin Liebich, Licensed Psychologist. Dr. Tipping is a graduate of the Illinois School of Professional Psychology with the degree of Doctor of Clinical Psychology and a concentration in Person-Centered Theory & Therapy. Dr. Tipping has practiced in a variety of environments including private practice, outpatient hospital clinic, LGBT community health clinic and general community mental health centers. She has strong training and work history in treating members of the LGBTQQIA community (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex and Asexual). Dr. Tipping specializes in helping adolescents and adults who identify as gender minorities, agender and sexual orientation minorities. She believes that people deserve to feel supported and confident in their gender and sexual identity and expression.
Dr. Tipping also helps families of individuals who identify as gender or sexual orientation minority in learning how to best support each other. Dr. Tipping is accepting and informed about various relationship styles and sexual practices including non-monogamy, polyamory, etc. She helps those who are experiencing mood disturbance, anxiety issues, behavioral issues, recovering from traumatic experiences, those who self-harm and those who struggle with suicidal thoughts. She assists individuals and families who need help adjusting to changing life circumstances such as new jobs, divorce or loss. Dr. Tipping performs evaluations for those seeking medical or surgical procedures related to gender transition and adheres to the WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health) standards for evaluation and treatment. She also performs psychological evaluations to help diagnose intellectual issues, learning disorders and clarify psychological diagnoses. Dr. Tipping works in consultation with medical, school and work professionals as needed to help support patients to her best ability. She takes pride in her queer identity and values serving her community through her professional and personal endeavors.
