I never thought I'd have a pleasant experience at a doctor. I am genderqueer (AFAB, on testosterone) and nobody batted an eye when I discussed my needs. Nobody tried to blame testosterone for the other medical issues I have. Everybody was incredibly friendly and affirming. Dr Griffin is white, and the other 3 staff I interacted with were people of color. Everyone was wonderful, used my correct name (which is not my legal name) and pronouns. Dr Griffin wants to make sure you have everything you need to be healthy and not prescribe unnecessary medications - she talked through dietary and other daily habits that will help improve my particular health concerns as well as medication. I could not be happier with my experience! This clinic also recently and publicly fired an employee for saying racist things on her personal facebook, sending a clear message that nothing short of inclusion and equality will be tolerated. I am so excited to have found this clinic! Dr Griffin said her partner, Dr Hasenpflug, also treats trans* patients. I am not adding her to the directory since I did not meet her, but I expect she would be just as wonderful.
