The receptionist and all the staff called me "Vic," not my legal name. I made a point to request it, but they had already made a note on my file when I called and made the appointment. They didn't make me needlessly take off any clothing. The doctor came and sat and talked with me for close to 30 minutes going over all my options to stop my period, from a hysterectomy, to hormone treatments (including one that would mimic menopause so I could see what that felt like before getting a hysto). She never tried to guilt me about seeking permanent solutions that would make it impossible for me to get pregnant. She included those facts, but with no emphasis. She offered to do a hysto during my top surgery so I wouldn't have to go under numerous times and would only be out of work once. She did talk about women choosing various options, but never referred to me as a woman, and called me "sir." She had obvious awareness of trans issues, bodies, treatment, all of it. Overall, it was an awesome experience!
